Inspired by her parents who came to America and worked hard for more opportunity, Lesly Muñoz has spent her career as a labor representative and education advocate fighting tirelessly for better wages and working conditions for educators and healthcare workers in our community.
Lesly was taught at an early age about the values of hard work, fairness, serving your community, and the power a quality education can play in creating more opportunity. As a single working mother of four, she has also experienced firsthand the financial pressures and challenges that families continue to face with rising housing, utility, and healthcare costs. Especially when prices keep increasing, but wages stay stagnant.
