Serving Medford

It is an honor to be a voice for Medford in the state legislature. New laws work best when many perspectives are sincerely considered and potential consequences carefully navigated. I am dedicated to working with peole of all viewpoints who are interested in finding the best ideas that solve real problems.

Addressing Addiction and Homelessness

Measure 110 has failed to live up to its promise to offer more treatment and is instead resulting in a tragic increase in overdose deaths and homelessness. We can and must amend this law.

Managing Forests to Prevent Wildfire

Senate Bill 762 improperly places the burden of wildfire management on homeowners, rather than requiring the state and federal governments to manage their forests. In a challenging economy and ongoing housing shortage, SB 762 threatens our ability to build, insure, buy, and sell homes. We must overturn this bill.

Housing

Oregon's strict land use regulations and ever-increasing building requirements have artificially increased the cost of homeownership for decades. Easing land use restrictions and bringing back safe but reasonable building codes are crucial steps to make sure that Medford residents have access to appropriate housing.
