I bring 34 years of legal experience serving the Portland community in family law, criminal and civil law, including substantial courtroom experience from hundreds of hearings and trials.

Public defender for over a decade, including four years in juvenile court representing children and parents in abuse and neglect cases.
Law firm partner with nearly ten years practicing family law, representing clients in divorce, custody, support, and property division matters.

Through thoughtful questions, listening, and encouraging responsible decision-making, I helped clients navigate complex legal issues and emotional realities of family transitions.

PUBLIC SERVICE LEADERSHIP

For the past 12 years, I provided legal counsel to City leaders on complex civic issues, including sanctuary policies, policing, and labor and employment matters; collaboratively working with elected officials and community members.
