I ran for this office in 2024 to help build an Oregon that is healthy, housed, educated, and connected. As a public middle school math teacher and a public defender, I spent my career helping people overcome broken systems. I know that the future we deserve will require systemic change, and I’m proud to be raising my children in SE Portland where I believe in our collective ability to solve our most pressing challenges.

As your representative, I have fought to:

• Protect us from federal assaults on our rights and values. I led the legislature’s federal response and immigrant justice package, passing bills to strengthen anti-discrimination laws, require ICE agents to unmask, hold federal officers accountable, and reinforce sanctuary protections at schools and hospitals.
• Stand up for working people, combat wage theft, and lower utility costs.
• Protect consumers from predatory businesses and strengthen data privacy protections for kids.
• Reform our criminal legal system to prioritize justice, safety, and efficiency.
• Protect access to reproductive healthcare, including funding Planned Parenthood and strengthening medical privacy protections.

I know our work is far from done.

I am running for re-election to prioritize affordability, strengthen our schools, expand access to quality, affordable childcare, invest sustainably in housing and multimodal transportation, support union jobs and fair wages, and do everything in my power to protect our democracy and our community from federal overreach.
