I grew up on the west side of the state in Forest Grove. After living in Salem for several years, I moved to Ione and now work for Morrow County. Working in local government, I saw first hand the responsibility that falls on commissioners, and what local government can do for its residents.
The renewable energy and tech industries in Morrow County continue to grow and we don’t have a lot of say where that’s concerned. I want to help Morrow County maintain its rural, agricultural identity and keep our farm and rangeland healthy. Morrow County deserves to have these power and data deals better benefit those who live here while giving less to the CEOs and multi-billion dollar corporations based in other states who only care about their profit margins. I believe we can provide better support to senior citizens and others on fixed incomes, increase educational and career training opportunities, increase jobs, improve housing availability, and do so much more so that our residents can thrive.
From protecting our natural resources and using them in sustainable ways, to providing better support to residents, I’m ready to serve Morrow County and fight for the needs of the people and the land.
