Occupation: State Representative, Small Business Owner, Attorney
Occupational Background: Attorney
Educational Background: JD, UNLV Law School; BA History, UNLV
Prior Governmental Experience: State Representative; Oregon Government Ethics Commission; Hillsboro 2035 Committee
As a state representative, I am committed to expanding economic opportunities for all Oregonians and protecting people’s rights.
Affordability: I grew up in poverty and experienced the struggles that many people are enduring. In 2025, I was the chief sponsor of the FAIR Energy Act that overhauled the setting of utility rates to prioritize consumers and put a stop to the record-setting increases in gas and electric bills we have seen in recent years.
Housing: My family has experienced the burden of ever-rising rents and the feeling that home ownership is out of reach. In 2026, I co-sponsored a bill to prevent hedge funds from buying up single-family homes within 90 days of them going on sale. Now families will not have to compete with billion-dollar investors to buy a house.
Consumer Protection: As a legislator, I have been a champion of consumer protection. In 2025, I chief sponsored bills to crackdown on dishonest car dealers, eliminate hidden fees in online sales, and remove medical debt from credit reports. In 2026, I chief sponsored a bill to stop online lenders from charging people triple-digit interest rates on loans.
