Prior Governmental Experience: State Representative, 2015-present
As a legislator, I have always sought to be a steward of the state and a thoughtful voice for my district. I would be honored to continue that work.
Housing - Houselessness is a tragedy. Beaverton is working hard to increase housing, but much more is needed. Affordability is similarly critical, particularly for seniors, youth, and those struggling with increasing costs.
Safety - While working to treat addiction and substance abuse, we must also address public safety. Our parks, playgrounds, streets, and neighborhoods must be safe for all community members.
Education - The hard truth is our kids are still recovering from class time missed during the pandemic. I have supported K-12 budgets that help bridge this gap, and I am a strong advocate for mental and behavioral health programs that are fundamental to the learning environment.
Prosperity - Oregon's economy is slowly improving, but we must be vigilant in protecting workers’ ability to work. This includes supporting child care, family leave, sick leave, and transportation options to access employment.
Resilience - Climate and extreme weather events are serious concerns, with heat domes, ice storms, flooding, and more. Helping increase Oregonians’ climate resilience is a top priority, including fighting to protect water resources.
