Judge Lagesen has served on the Oregon Court of Appeals since November 12, 2013, and has served as the court's Chief Judge since January 1, 2022. She is an elected member of the American Law Institute. In 2025, she was one of the recipients of the Oregon State Bar's Wallace P. Carson, Jr. Award for Judicial Excellence.
DEDICATED
Judge Lagesen regularly presents at legal education programs, has authored chapters on state constitutional law and appellate practice for state bar publications, and is a past chair of the state bar Constitutional Law section. She also is a long-time volunteer coach for the high school "We the People" constitutional law program.
